With every native flower we sell, we’re working together to restore Iowa’s heritage of rich fertile soil. Natives will aide is recharging ground water and restore habitat for wildlife and insects.
- Blooming Prairie Nursery has an established native prairie flower growing center where all the plants are grown.
- This growing center is responsible for over 100 species of native flowers and grasses that are sold as bare root plants, in 38” cone cells and gallons.
- Blooming Prairie Nursery is located on an 30 acre piece of land that encompasses two green houses, 32×60 production house, 45×90 equipment storage building and 19 acres are currently dedicated to the conservation reserve program.
- There are two acres of seed production rows with an additional 5 acres planned for expansion. The production rows are irrigated by an on-site 2 acre pond.
