Rain Gardens Prevent Flooding and Erosion

Rain gardens are ideal for problem areas in yards where water pools. Natives’ long root systems draw water deep into the ground where other roots cannot penetrate. These rain gardens incorporate the tallest, longest root systems with the intention of catching extra run-off from sidewalks, driveways or house gutters preventing soil erosion. They also work very well in landscaping lower lying, wet areas of a yard and on the lower sides of hillscapes where soil tends to wash away.
